To Rice or Not to Rice

We have a debate going. Should we give the baby cereal in her bottle. I think not because research says she is not old enough. My husband swears he did it with the oldest and it was fine. I won't even go there with my reply to what he has done in the past. My issue is it does not bother me to wake up every 2-3 hours with her as it is my duty. I believe it should solely be my choice when to add cereal to her milk as I am the one who does 99.9999% of the feedings. Plus I want to consult with her pediatrician before I add anything extra. I don't want it to be an argument because he has "experience" and I don't.
